COUNTRY QUICKIES: 2/5/13
~~Jason Aldean has his 11th career # 1 on the country singles charts. His hit song, "The Only Way I Know," featuring Luke Bryan and Eric Church, is No. 1 on both the Billboard and Mediabase charts.
~~Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, Josh Turner and Greg Bates have been added to the bill for the "Grand Ole Opry At CRS" show Feb. 27 at 7pm. They join the previously announced performers Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Vince Gill, Scotty McCreery and Dustin Lynch.
Vince Gill will host the event and Country Radio Hall-of-Famer Bill Cody will serve as announcer. The show will be held in the Performance Hall of the Nashville Convention Center.
~~ Jake Owen, Clay Walker, Darius Rucker and Charles Kelley of Lady A will play the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Celebrity Challenge in Monterey, CA. Other celebrities involved include Josh Duhamel, Chris Berman, Bill Murray, Kenny G, Huey Lewis, Ray Romano, Andy Garcia, Aaron Rodgers and more. The tournament started yesterday and goes through Feb. 10.
~~Toby Keith's Hammer Down tour kicks off June 8 in Ozark, Ark., and will feature Kip Moore. Tour dates are confirmed through early September. Additional stops will be confirmed later.
Prior to the start of the tour, Toby will be headlining the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a night at the four-day festival Country Thunder in Florence, Ariz., and a night at the Stagecoach country music festival in Indio, Calif.

~~Hunter Hayes will stop by the MTV Newsroom on tonight to perform a live acoustic set of his hit songs, "Wanted" and "Somebody's Heartbreak," and sit for an extended interview that will be streamed at 7:00 p.m ET on MTV.com.
~~Tim McGraw surprised fans with personal phone calls to help announce the first available tickets for his upcoming Two Lanes of Freedom 2013 Tour.
Tim partnered with Tumblr to create the "Fanticipation" program which allows fans, for the first time ever, to announce through Tumblr when tickets will be available in their own hometown.

~~George Jones has announced that the final Nashville concert of his career will be at the Bridgestone Arena on Friday, November 22, 2013. And he will be joined on stage by Charlie Daniels, Lorrie Morgan, Randy Travis, Jamey Johnson, and Gene Watson-- all joining previously announced guest Tanya Tucker to help honor this legendary entertainer with special performances. More artists will continue to be announced.
George Jones' Grand Tour kicks off Thursday (Feb. 7) in Lakeland, Fla.
~~John Fogerty will release his new album of duets, titled "Wrote a Song For Everyone", on May 28.
Fogerty's swamp rock "Born On The Bayou", which he recorded with Kid Rock, was used by NFL Network in their coverage of Super Bowl XLVII played in New Orleans.
His new disc is a celebration of his songbook and a collection of 12 classics and deep tracks plus two brand new songs.
Fogerty performed alongside Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, Keith Urban, Jennifer Hudson, Kid Rock, Brad Paisley, the Zac Brown Band, My Morning Jacket, Alan Jackson and Miranda Lambert. Fogerty also recorded his classic "Lodi" with his sons Shane and Tyler Fogerty at Abbey Road Studios in London.
