HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY WEEKEND! I got curious about what green food coloring actually does to your body (other than the obvious thing when you go to the bathroom the next day)... so I decided to go hunting for answers.

WikiAnswers says, in response to, "What are the effects of food coloring on the body?"

All legal food colourings have no biological action except in extremely high doses (far beyond anything that could be obtained by eating or drinking a product containing them).

Then I asked, "What is considered an extremely high dose of food coloring?"

And there was no answer on Wiki for that... or anywhere on the internet for that matter.

I did find an alternative to using food coloring, an algae called spirulina. CLICK HERE to learn more.

So, I put it out to YOU! How much is too much food coloring? Email me at Jillene@WLLR.com! Drink responsibly this weekend. :)
