I know some of the women in WLLR's audience will be interested in this! According to the New York Daily News, Omaze.com has collected $540-thousand dollars from contestants who pledge ten bucks each for an opportunity to go on a date with George Clooney. And get this – you and a friend not only get to hang out with the man himself, you both are eligible for a day of beauty, transportation and lodging in New York City, tickets to “Late Show with David Letterman,” AND an invite to the premiere of Clooney’s latest cinematic feat – “The Monuments Men.” All proceeds from this benefit the Satellite Sentinel Project in their efforts to deter war crimes in the Sudan. Who knew that George Clooney was such a cheap date?
Thanks for finding my little corner of the world here at WLLR.com. Who am I?
1) A radio listener. My Mom and I used to listen to the radio all the time when ever since I was born. My Grandpa, in fact, was a radio bandleader back when they had live musicians (before records…tapes…digital files...and now, space ships). I tune in to tons of radio each week and now, with iHeartRadio (get it if you don’t already have it--you’ll thank me), I listen to even MORE radio.
2) I’m on the radio every weekday from 10-1 on WLLR and am privileged to keep you company while you go through your day. Thank you for having us on! E-quest your favorite song to me for the noon hour, or call: 563-359-9557 (1-800-394-9557). And finally:
3) I’m in charge of the programming here on WLLR---so if you love (or hate) what you’re hearing—drop me a note. I prefer the former but I need to know what you really think, because, as you can tell, I’m pretty passionate about this radio thing.
